Marta Williams

Since 2003, I have provided registered massage therapy treatment that creates practical solutions for health maintenance and recovery. My practice serves our diverse communities’ needs for physical and emotional wellness, women’s health -including pre and post-partum care- and pre and post-surgical support, as well as muscle and joint aches and pains. I work in a safe and inclusive, trauma informed way that serves individuals and families, including the LGBTQ community. Further, as a massage therapist, visual artist and academic, I have developed curriculum and taught at colleges of massage therapy in the areas of hydrotherapy, anatomy, advanced manual techniques and clinical sciences. My passion is working hands-on as a massage therapist. I offer a variety of massage techniques that contribute to recovery and wellbeing. These includes Swedish or circulatory massage that supports tissue health and reduces stress and to restore function and movement, I use myofascial techniques which help to reduce restrictions and scars. Finally, for gentle integration and recovery, I use neuromuscular techniques like muscle energy, craniosacral and lymph drainage. With over 20 years of experience treating the public as an RMT I can honestly say that I love what I do. Marta Williams RMT she/her I humbly acknowledge that I live and work on the ancestral unceded territory of the Splatsin First Nation, a part of the Secwepemic or Shuswap Nation.
