As an RMT, my goals are to help you regain or maintain mobility, manage pain with therapeutic massage, and to empower you to take control of your own health with body-awareness education. I grew up in the Okanagan and Boundary Country regions of BC. I'm a mom, I love being in nature, being creative, and learning about health & wellness. I studied Massage Therapy at OVCMT in Vernon and was Registered in early 2019. Since then, I've realized I enjoy treating chronic pain, over-use injuries, nerve compressions, and stress related tension. I particularly enjoy working on neck, shoulder and arm issues like chronic whiplash, Thoracic outlet syndrome, rotator cuff conditions, elbow tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc. since I've experienced these myself. As for treating stress related tension, I have past personal experience with anxiety and panic attacks, so I understand the value of restoring balance to the autonomic nervous system to maintain function in life and prevent or recover from burn-out. Prolonged stress creates an imbalance in this part of the nervous system, which is out of our conscious control, and therefore dysregulation of many processes in the body. Massage is an excellent way to help balance the autonomic nervous system by allowing it to easily go into the parasympathetic or 'rest and digest' state when it's too often in the sympathetic or 'fight or flight' state. This allows the body to begin to heal and regulate vital processes. I offer direct billing for most extended health insurance and BC MSP Premium Assistance, which offers $23/ treatment up to 10/ year. The easiest way to contact me is via text at 250-449-8180
